United Utilities awards £2M+ contract .

United Utilities has awarded a  £2 million-plus contract for a new wastewater pumping station to Oldham-based company DCT Civil Engineering Ltd.

The work will involve the construction of a below ground 1 450 m3 detention tank, 2 power screens and new CSO chambers, 2 static screens and new CSO chambers and 500 to 600 m of micro bore tunnelling (900 mm diameter.

A total of five companies were in the bidding for the work.

A proportion of the work is likely to be subcontracted to third parties.
